The Shorebird House was commissioned for a Finnish house fair and draws inspiration from the local seabirds that wade along the shoreline. The house design incorporates materials that enhance the maritime atmosphere, creating a serene and calming living space.
The floorplan has been designed to maximise the experience of living on the water. The living and kitchen areas, as well as the main bedroom, have been strategically positioned to face unobstructed sea views. Additionally, even the ensuite bathroom has been designed to provide full views towards the water while still offering privacy to the occupants. To cater to individual preferences, the bathroom features a floor-to-ceiling dimmable window, allowing for optimal control over the amount of light and privacy desired.
Overall, this design offers a seamless fusion of function and form, creating a truly unique and serene living space on the water.
